Why does the app ask for camera or photo access?
The My Notes feature lets you attach photos to your personal notes. You can take new photos with your camera or choose from your photo library. This is completely optional — the app works fully without granting access, and your photos never leave your device.
Can I request new features or reference sections?
Absolutely! We're always looking to improve. Send us your ideas by email.
What devices are supported?
Bench Reference is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later.

Bench Reference does not collect any personal information. We do not require account registration, login, or any personal details to use the app.
Camera & Photo Library Access
Bench Reference may request access to your device's camera and photo library. This is used solely for the My Notes feature, which allows you to attach photos to your personal notes and entries.
Analytics & Tracking
The app does not use any analytics, tracking tools, or advertising frameworks. No third-party SDKs are included.
Local Storage
User preferences (such as dark mode and font size), any notes you create, and any photos you attach are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to any server.
Internet Access
The app does not require an internet connection. All reference content is included within the app. The only external links are optional buy links for 3D printing resins and this support page.
Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. No data is collected from any user of any age.
Changes to This Policy
